This page was created as an example and resource page to supplement my hybrid photography article in the Summer 2016 issue of the Professional Photographers of Canada magazine. Here you will find additional resources to learn more about hybrid photography and one of my cinemagraphs. I only included one examnple since it's more exicting creating your own! The helpful resources will help you do that. If you google cinemagraph and click on the images tab, you'll find lots of examples.

This is a cinemagraph of one of my dogs Joey sitting on the beach. It's quite surreal as you would expect his whole head to be moving around and not just some bits of hair. This cinemagraph was tricky to do as I didn't have access to a tripod. It is definitely better to use a tripod when shooting the video footage so that you can more easily mask areas out. This cinemagraph was created just using Photoshop.
