I absolutely love what I do and feel fortunate that I am able to share my vision and art with you and provide my services to you. I am a proponent of sharing knowledge and giving back to others. I always enjoy hearing stories, seeing the art and enjoying the experiences of others so feel free to contact me if you wish to share. I also welcome the opportunity to get involved with outreach programs, especially with youth and creativity, so please let me know if you are involved with any of these types of initiatives.

About Me

Ever since I was a child I have had a fascination with the outdoors. I always welcomed a family camping trip or a trip north to my Grandma's cottage for some fishing. As I grew older I wanted to explore the great outdoors more seriously. Living in Southern Ontario, Canada, I have access to many beautiful locations and I began planning trips to the backcountry. Sometimes these trips were with friends and sometimes they were solo and have included multi-day canoe and backpacking trips. These adventures taught me a lot about myself as well as increased my awareness and appreciation of the natural world. I began noticing all of the subtleties that surrounded me and nothing was too great or too small for me to appreciate.

Through this increased awareness I began to read lots of wildlife and environmental books. It became apparent that these lovely places that I had known about for so long and had only begun to explore could not be taken for granted. Although I had experimented with photography over the years and enjoyed it very much, this was the point at which my photography became a serious endeavour. I wanted to combine my love of the outdoors with my interest in photography to spread awareness of these beautiful places to as many people as possible.

One person can't save the world, but if each and every one of us does a small part to aim for a healthy environment, these smaller acts of caring will add up to a great achievement.

About My Art and Services

I am a fine art photographer from Milton, Ontario, Canada who specializes in nature and abstract photography. My creative vision is fuelled by my love of the outdoors and explorative nature. My photographic passions include landscapes, abandoned places, wildlife and abstracts. I immerse myself in all aspects of my art and am involved in every facet of its creation from initial capture to printing and framing.

I am a proponent of learning the technical skills required to be proficient with your equipment and to aid in the creation of your art. However, I insist that keeping one’s creative vision at the forefront is ultimately most important. There is always room for our vision as artists to grow and evolve. The camera sees scientifically and therefore we need to see artistically. Capturing the viewer’s emotion and imagination allows them to resonate with my art with a sense of intrigue. My art evokes feelings of serenity, tranquility and intimacy with the subject.

I am an X-Rite Coloratti, a Lumix Storyteller (Ambassador), a Hahnemuhle Certified Studio, a ViewSonic Partner Photographer and part-time teacher at Humber College (Black and White and Nature Photography). I have been published in Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC), PhotoED Guide and Outdoor Photography Canada magazine, of which I am the Gear Columnist. I offer a range of services including fine art printing and art reproduction. I always welcome the opportunity to teach and inspire others. I teach both the creative and technical aspects of photography through photo walks, presentations and workshops.

I always try to keep a positive and optimistic outlook on life. I am always willing to help someone if I am able to. I believe that sharing information and skills is vital. We must never forget where we came from or those that helped us early in our journeys. I am very passionate about my photography and the services that I provide. I am also very fortunate and count my blessings that I am able to do what I love. Capturing the world’s beauty is my true passion; nature makes me whole!

I hope that you enjoy yourself while visiting my website. I will gladly answer any feedback or questions that you may have.

Peace to all,
Jason DiMichele
